The economic solution
By using the ACSS Expansion Joint System the installation of the ceramic floor covering will prove more economical and practical. Additional costs are avoided as this prefabricated strip is installed during the tile laying process, eliminating the need for an extra stage in the construction process where the expansion joint would normally be installed separately following the setting of the tiles.

The technical concept ensures
resistance to constant loading
The design of the joint profile will be appreciated due to the excellent keying system incorporated in the hard PVC shoulders of this unit. This ensures maximum security in the mortar bed.
Soft PVC bridges are welded between the shoulders of the strip and are compressible to accomodate slight expansion occuring in the tile system. The two-part design allows for the joint to be used in both heavy and tight screed bed thickness, as the construction provides for the top section to be used independently.
The Expansion joint sections are of a specially formulated plastic. Although in total this material is quite flexible, it has a high degree of resistance to abrasion, UV exposure, oil and a wide range of chemicals. Tile edges are protected from damage by heavy loaded wheel traffic due to the strength of the expansion joint shoulders.
This strip provides ease of installation. Its placement between two rows of tiles, positioned flush with the tile face, ensures a neatly secured expasion joint.
Multiple applications
An advantage of the expansion joint system is its many uses. It is especially suitable for the tile floors of residential, commercial or industrial buildings. Both single and cross connectors make joining the strips a very simple and effective operation, providing a clean and attractive finish.
A further feature is that three colours are available to better match tile colours. These preformed strips are produced in sizes 44mm (1 3/4") two-part, or 23mm (1") top-section only x 8 mm (5/16") width in grey, red or brown colour, and are supplied in 2,50m (approx.8'-2") length, 50 pieces per pack.
